Life's Challenges
It has been a very upsetting, challenging time in our lives. We are managing to struggle through. Things actually have become worse but can see that there really is some light at the end of the tunnel. We just have to take one day at a time right now and pray our way through all that is happening in our lives.
In the mean time.... I have missed writing and doing all the things I enjoy. So... for this week.... I want to try to get back to doing something enjoyable each day.... no matter how horrible the events of the day may be.
I have been able to work on some knitting this past week. Through this family emergency I also had a major set back with my health. Not great timing at all. My family doctor ordered me to complete bedrest for the entire week and weekend. Not something I can do easily as I am a very active person. But.... I complied with the doctors orders and did as instructed. Thank goodness for knitting and my yarn order of Parfait wool yarn arriving last Monday. I have been knitting more purses that I am felting. And working on a few designs of my own.
I have had plans to go to a Fiber Gathering this weekend and hoping that I can still attend. It is not too far of a drive from where we live..... an 1 1/2 hour drive. I plan to call this week to find out more information. I am hoping it is a big event with lots of things to see and "possibly" buy. I also would love to get some help with learning to spin with a drop spindle. I have some wool and a spindle. I just need a little guidance to get me started. Of course being able to attend depends on how this week progresses with all that is going on and also with how much my health has stabilized by the end of the week. So far.... I think there should be no reason why it would be impossible to go.
Next weekend is the beginning of the farmers market season where I set up each Saturday morning to sell my handmade soap/lotion/bath & body products, embroidered items and others things I handmake. I have a few more things to get made by then.... but for the most part.... I have been ready for several months. This is something that my daughter and I love to do together. A great bonding activity that we participate in each week starting in May thru mid October. We have been doing this market for now going on 5 years. It really is alot of fun for us and it provides not only a little extra $$$ for special things for my family... but $$$ for new supplies for products and for other hobby supplies.... such as yarn and embroidery threads.
There is not much to write about at the moment. Just wanted to let everyone know that we sincerely appreciate all the prayers, special notes and phone calls. I hope to be writing more soon.
Sharon
