Organizing
The past few weeks I have been working on reorganizing workspace for new yarn displays that my husband has created for cone yarns. I also have designed another display for all the handspun yarns I am creating.
I am continuing to work on spinning more yarn. This has become a nightly ritual lately..... spinning while watching TV and enjoying time with my husband.
I did a recent trade with someone for some of my handspun yarn for a book on sock knitting on 2 circulars. Today the package of handspun yarn I created was received and I heard from the person I sent this to. She really made me feel so good to have such nice compliments on the merino wool yarns I have recently spun. This is just the encouragement I need to keep me spinning and creating more yarns.
I am spinning a few new yarns for myself for a scarf I want to make for fall. I also have a pattern to use some the handspun to create a nice cardigan sweater. I have spun some of the yarns for the design work. Now I need to find some more wool roving for the main color to begin spinning what I will need for this sweater. Knitting this sweater will be my early fall project to work on. I can hardly wait to begin.
The past few weeks have been hectic and not much time for writing, knitting or much of anything other than trying to catch up on housework, etc. from being out of town. But.... this week.... hopefully..... I will actually have some time to get back to other things I enjoy.
This past week..... I also received a package from my KR Secret Pal. She sent me 3 skeins of yarn (Cascade 220). 2 shades of purple..... one of my favorite colors. She also sent me the pattern to create the French Market Tote bag. I can hardly wait to begin this project.
I also received another favorite..... Crabtree & Evelyn Summer Hill Hand Therapy. This a wonderful shea butter creme that has really been great for my hands. With all the spinning and handling of yarns my hands need some tender loving care. I really love any and all Crabtree & Evelyn products.
I also received such a nice card with a handwritten note and inside the card I also found a nice pear shaped bookmark with an inscribed message on it.
Thank you to my Secret Pal for creating such a thoughtful gift package for me. It arrived at a time that I really needed a uplifting and means so much. I now can hardly wait to start in on the new project of knitting the French Market Tote bag.
This upcoming week..... I am hoping to finish up the workspace I am creating with organizing my yarns and other hobby related supplies. And of course more time for knitting and spinning.
I am looking for more organizing ideas for organizing my workspaces. Both for my office in our home and our basement where I have things for all my hobbies. I also want to find a creative way to store yarn and projects that I am working with. This seems to be a constant ongoing project..... that just never seems to end.
